Back from the Bacta tank!

We had to postpone recording this weekend due to an illness, but good ole 2-1B and FX-7 pulled me through and we are ramping up for completing recording 2 shows this coming weekend. Already have other guests getting lined up as well.

Last night, Jason and I sat down to record a test show. We interviewed Pax Holley from the "Cavalcade of Awesome" blog and the "Nerd Lunch" podcast. For a first run, it went pretty well!  We just need to learn how to not talk over each other when we are on Skype.

This weekend, we are going to finish recording the show (intros and outros and the such), and who knows, if it comes out as well as I think it will, we just might release it into the wild next week!

So, check back early next week and you just may find the very first episode of the all-new Expanded Universe podcast!

Hey, Tim here.  I just wanted to tell you guys about what's going on with the show.  Jason and I have been brainstorming, talking things over and making plans.  And, best of all, we are almost ready to go!

Let me fill you in on our plans.  Right now, we hope to record a "test show" the weekend of July 26th.  We may or may not release it, depending on how this goes, but... Its my guess that we will share at least some of it as "bonus content".  So, keep your ears open for that.

After we work out the kinks with our test show, the goal is to record "for reals" the weekend of August 2nd.  That show will be one for the history books, and for iTunes.  Yup, after many broken promises and failed attempts, the show is finally coming to iTunes!

Right now we are making contact with some interesting people who are doing interesting things with their expressions of fandom.  Also, we are reaching out to some other fans who we hope will become correspondents on the show, to report on different corners of fandom, from time to time.  And Dan White will be back to chew the power cables too!

(If the idea of being a correspondent sounds interesting to you, drop us an email for more details! - TheExpandedFandomverse@Gmail.com)

Anyway, there's a lot more to come, but for now, mark your calendars!  The all-new Expanded Fandomverse is on the way!

So, after a few weeks away, the new and improved Expanded Fandomverse is just about ready to make it's triumphant return!

Many of the ideas I mentioned before are coming to fruition.  Most importantly, I have found a co-host to join me as I talk with some amazing Star Wars fans who are doing some very interesting things with their love of that galaxy far, far away...

So, if you will, please join me in welcoming JASON COLLIER to the show!

Or maybe, I should say "Welcome Back to the show Jason!".  If you'll remember, Jason was my guest on the second episode of The Expanded Fandomverse.  Jason earned the title of The Ultimate Star Wars Fan in 2005, he is an avid Star Wars collector, a fellow member of the 501st, and a bit of a local celebrity in his hometown.  Go back and have a listen to our conversation back in March.

Jason and I have yet to record our first episode together as co-hosts, but I can tell you, the man has brought a great deal to the show!  I could list for you some of his great ideas, but I don't want to ruin the surprises to come!

Anyway, keep checking back, for we hope to be up and running soon.  Very soon.  Thanks for you patience.  I promise you, it will be well worth the wait!
